Known the world over as "The Prison Angel", Mother Antonia lived for over 30 years in a small, bitter cell in Tijuana's La Mesa Prison. She ministered to some of the most maltreated inmates on Earth. 

When La Mesa erupted in riots, bullets flew and tear gas filled the air! The inmates watched in astonishment as Mother Antonia, dressed in her habit, entered fearlessly into the prison. The fighting and prison violence immediately stopped. Mother Antonia offered a strong dose of spiritual awareness when she asked the soul-searching question, "What prison are YOU in?"
